BetStorm is one of the biggest betting brands operated by all-round gambling experts ProgressPlay of Malta. This BetStorm review will explain all you need to know about the site, including how you can earn yourself a £30 free bet with a £10 bet of your own money and the BetStorm promo code ‘BET30’.
Bet £10 Get £30 Free Bet
Bet £10 Get £30 Free Bet
The history of BetStorm can be traced right back to 2012, when ProgressPlay was created as the provider of white-label solutions. Companies such as ProgressPlay (also known as ‘turnkey’ operators) provide the bare bones of online casinos and sports betting sites. A company can then purchase a site, stick its branding all over it, and launch it as a ready-made product allowing ProgressPlay to do all the operating.
BetStorm itself launched in September 2021 and has become one of the best ProgressPlay-operated sites. However, like most white-label brands, very little is known about them. All we can find out about BetStorm is that they were created via ProgressPlay by another Maltese company called Ublique Gaming. Oddly, Ublique Gaming call themselves an ‘iGaming giant’ which is a bit of a stretch, as BetStorm is the only brand that they own. We are willing to forgive this boast though as BetStorm is a fine example of a ProgressPlay-operated sport betting and gambling site.
Date founded: 2021
Ownership: Ublique Gaming
Headquarters: Malta
Address: 169, Psaila Street, Birkirkara, BKR 9076, Malta.
Licence No.: 39335
We can find zero evidence of BetStorm sponsorship of any description which is something that’s very common with ProgressPlay-operated sites and white label sites in general.
First and foremost, BetStorm is operated purely by ProgressPlay. This means that ProgessPlay are responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, or at least the nuts and bolts, while Ublique Gaming provide the look and feel. What this means is that BetStorm runs under ProgressPlay’s licence, as do … wait for it … 197 other sites (although 68 of them are currently inactive). ProgressPlay itself owns 14 sites, but BetStorm is not one of them.
We apologise if this is confusing, but that’s how things are in the white label world. All you have to worry about is how safe and secure ProgressPlay is, and we are happy to report this Malta-based betting company has only one regulatory strike against its name, which was as the result of a two-year review of its track record. In the end, ProgressPlay were told to pay a fine of around £190,000 which in terms of fines usually handed out by the UKGC in barely a limp slap.
As BetStorm is a small brand and is piggy-backing on a licence owned by someone else, we don’t recommend this site as one for high rollers. This is more of a sports betting site for casual bettors. There are many BetStorm reviews outlining problems with the site but usually poor reviews are fake and are actually written by competitors. It pays to be safe, though.
New customers at BetStorm can take advantage of the site’s sign-up offer, which will gain you £30 in free bets for a £10 bet made using your own money. Note that this is an exclusive offer and you will need to use the bonus code ‘BET30’ when completing your sign-up by using the link we provide. If you don’t, you will only get the standard ‘Bet £10 Get £10’ deal when you register here.
Let’s now go through the steps you need to take to get your freebie. After signing up, you need to make a minimum deposit of £10 (safest to use a debit card) and then place a £10 bet on any sports market you choose (no minimum odds, for once!). Once that bet has settled, you will receive a free one-time bet of £30 value. This must be used in its entirety and cannot be split into smaller bets.
If your bet wins, then the winnings (not the stake) will be added to your account. However, you must wager the same value of your winnings using your own money before you can withdraw this cash. This does not include cashed-out bets and you must complete this within seven days.
One thing that is important to note – if you have previously claimed a welcome bonus from any site operating via ProgressPlay, then you will not be eligible to claim the bonus at BetStorm. Also, once you have successfully claimed the BetStorm welcome bonus, you will be unable to claim any subsequent welcome bonus from any other ProgressPlay-run site.

BetStorm – as part of the ProgressPlay network, is high on existing customer offers, but they come with a caveat. If you are a member of several sites on the ProgressPlay network, then you can only claim a maximum of five bonuses across all sites per month. So, if you come to claim a BetStorm offer after claiming five bonuses at other ProgressPlay sites in the same month, you won’t be getting it!
Here are deals you will find available at BetStorm once you used up your BetStorm welcome bonus.
This is along the same lines as the BetStorm welcome offer. Make a minimum £40 deposit in one go (no Skrill or Neteller) using the BetStorm promo code ‘FB20’, place a minimum of £40 in bets and you will receive a £20 free bet to use how you wish with minimum odds of 1.50. All winnings must be wagered through with your own money before withdrawing and within seven days. The maximum conversion is £100, and you can claim this bonus a maximum of three times.
Another ‘Bet X Get X’ deal that runs along identical lines as the BetStorm offer above, except that it’s £100 to get £50 and the code you need to use is ‘FB50’. Everything else is exactly the same as with the previous offer.
This deal is for you if you enjoy betting on English Premier League football. Just deposit £10 or more using the code ‘EPLC’ and then place your EPL bets. All single bets placed on the EPL in this manner will be entitled to ten per cent cashback up to a maximum of £500. Cashback is paid within seven days and comes with no wagering. As soon as that £500 target is reached, no more EPL cashback can be obtained.
You should now consider yourself an expert on Ublique, ProgressPlay, the BetStorm welcome bonus and other BetStorm promotions for ongoing customers. Now it is time to get to grips with the meat and bones of the BetStorm site itself, which will reveal itself to be familiar territory to anyone with experience of ProgressPlay sites.
ProgressPlay did not get to where they are today without offering an extremely comprehensive sports betting package. That is just what you will find at BetStorm, with every sport covered from A to Z. Speaking of the extremes of the alphabet, here is the full list of the markets you can place wagers on at BetStorm.
We did say it was an impressive list, and we hope you are impressed. The inclusion of ‘rink hockey’ is a weird one though – from our not-too-extensive research it’s ice hockey played not on ice but on roller skates. We’ve not seen it offered for betting anywhere else, so that’s a major plus point for BetStorm.
Okay, so BetStorm and ProgressPlay in general are both great for pre-match markets, but what about live markets? Well, it’s pretty good too … when we checked out the site there were over 2,500 pre-match markets and over 150 live markets. We were looking in the afternoon too, GMT, so we bet that number rises considerably in the evenings.
Like all aspects of the BetStorm site, the in-play betting section is fast and responsive. Flick over to the live section, click on a market and the top match (as judged by BetStorm) pops open instantly. All live markets can be seen along with the number of individual matches. Just click on the market label and the full list of matches will expand.
This section of the BetStorm betting site is incredibly responsive – you just have to click on something and the response is instant. The prices and stats update themselves every two seconds.
As part of the live section at BetStorm, you can click on the little camera icon to see which events are available for live streaming. I think we were unlucky when we attempted this nothing came up. We are aware that BetStorm does have live streaming, but of what, we have no idea. We do know that it doesn’t have live streaming of horse racing as most betting sites in the UK have. We suspect that this is because Ublique/BetStorm is a Malta-based company, so hasn’t managed to secure the same deal with UK/Ireland horse racing streaming providers as traditional UK bookies have. The same goes for greyhounds.
You are going to be bored of us mentioning it by now, but BetStorm is run by ProgressPlay which means that ProgressPlay sets the odds offered by BetStorm. You will also get identical odds at any platform run by ProgressPlay. So, do the odds offered by BetStorm/ProgressPlay compare favourably to the odds offered by other sites? The answer is yes … just about! As part of this Betstorm sports review, we looked at the odds for the 2024 UCL final, and BetStorm were offering Dortmund at 5.20 and Real Madrid at 1.59. The best odds we could find anywhere at the time were 5.50 for Dortmund and 1.65 for Madrid. So, BetStorm were not able to offer the very best odds, but they were very close!
One thing that might annoy people at BetStorm is that odds are set to decimal by default. However, it is quite easy to change this if you so wish – click the three dots towards the right of the screen, and then the cog wheel. This will show a dropdown display – ‘Odds Format’ from which you can select decimal, fractional, American, Hong Kong, Malay or Indo odds. See Betting Odds Explained if you need more information on that topic.
There seems to be no minimum bet at BetStorm – if you want to place a bet for as low as a penny it seems you can. If you want to know the maximum stake for any bet, just click the ‘MAX’ button and the maximum stake will be applied to the bet. BetStorm operates a ‘SupaBet’ policy which will allow you to request stakes higher than the maximum allowed – however, there is no guarantee that BetStorm will accept your bet, especially if it is too outlandish.
You’ll find details later on in this BetStorm review about maximum deposits and withdrawals.
Help begins at BetStorm by clicking the help speech bubble on the left-hand side of the screen. This will open up the FAQs, so you can take a look to see if they will help. This will also open up the chat box. Sadly, it’s a bot who isn’t very helpful to be honest, but if you persevere you will be handed over to real person … not that that, in our experience, helped things. We did not find BetStorm customer service at all helpful, we are afraid to report. Responses from BetStorm online chat were not only slow, they were inaccurate too.
So, what other notable features are there at BetStorm? Well … we’re struggling. The site does have a rewards scheme, but as such schemes are frowned upon by the UKGC (and likely phased out shortly as the UKGC does not think they are conducive to responsible gambling), we are not going to mention it in detail, and we recommend that you ignore it if you use BetStorm as your betting site of choice.
Other than that … the cup runneth dry. The site does not even have a bet builder. BetStorm is both an expansive and responsive site but in terms of bells and whistles … expect silence.
Thankfully the sign-up process at BetStorm is relatively easy to complete. We’re going to work you through it now so you can acquire your BetStorm login.
This site does not have a BetStorm app. In fact, there are no ProgressPlay sites that have betting apps. If you pop across to Google Play or the Apple App Store to see if you can find an app for BetStorm, plenty of apps will come up if you search, but not a single one of them will be for a BetStorm app.
However! Before fans of ‘betting on the go’ despair, please be aware you are perfectly able to use the BetStorm sports betting site on mobile devices. You can do this by opening any suitable mobile browser on your device, and then navigating your way to the BetStorm mobile site, just as you would on desktop. The ProgressPlay site does really work well on mobile browsers, which is a surprise given the site’s depth and responsiveness. You will also be able to do everything on the BetStorm mobile site that you can on the desktop site, such as make deposits and withdrawals, and check out any current site promotions.
There are eleven payment methods available at BetStorm, although you may not be able to use all of them as you are resident in the UK. BetStorm is also one of the few remaining betting sites in the UK to still accept ‘PayviaPhone’ as a payment method. While not expressly outlawed by the UKGC, it is frowned upon (as it can be defined as betting on credit) and most other UK betting sites have dropped it.
The minimum deposit amount for most methods is £10, and deposits are processed instantly, with no fees. There is a fee for withdrawing though – one per cent up to a maximum of £3. The minimum automatic withdrawal is £5, although BetStorm withdrawals for smaller amounts can be requested via support. Full details of all payment methods, including BetStorm withdrawal times, are below.

Like most sports betting sites in the UK, BetStorm has a casino attached to it. We are going to knock your socks off and tell you that the BetStorm casino is provided by … ProgressPlay! Indeed, ProgessPlay actually has more casino sites than sports betting sites and really began life as white-label casino providers before they ventured into sports betting. The casino at BetStorm is loaded with dozens of the very best slots, although casino games are more lacking. It used to be a common criticism of ProgressPlay sites that they did not have enough casino games but that has changed greatly recently, with uncommon titles such as Dragon Tiger and baccarat joining the casino staples of blackjack and roulette.
If you know your casino providers, then you’ll probably be looking for names such as Pragmatic Play, NetEnt and Microgaming. Well, your search will bear casino fruit at BetStorm as all three provide decent numbers of titles here, as well as so many other big names. You can scroll through the offerings, or use the search function to find your favourite titles. There is also the live casino here, with all titles being provided by industry giants Playtech. The live casino at BetStorm has every casino game you can think of!
We think we’ve outlined all there is to know and care about concerning the BetStorm betting site, with a taster of the casino added too. Do you agree with our BetStorm review? Do other BetStorm reviews agree with our BetStorm review? We have summed up the main positives and negatives we have found in the bullet points below.

Room for improvement:
So we have finally come to the closing statements of our exclusive BetStorm review. We know there are a lot of ProgressPlay sites out there, but we definitely feel that BetStorm is the best of them. At least it doesn’t keep renaming itself like Tebwin … er, Vince Vegas … er, Caspbet! If you are looking for a responsive, no-nonsense site that isn’t going to offer you loads of extra frills, then BetStorm is an extremely decent pick.
Currently, for the BetStorm new customer offer you will need to use the BetStorm promo code ‘BET30’. There are two other BetStorm promo code deals mentioned in this BetStorm review – ‘FB20’ and ‘FB50’. The benefits of these codes are explained above.
Yes, BetStorm is a safest betting site. We only review betting sites that we feel are safe on this site. If we have any inkling that a site is not safe, then you will not find it mentioned (at least not in a good way) on our pages!
BetStorm was launched in September 2021. The company behind its software, ProgressPlay, have been around since 2012, though.
BetStorm says that it takes around one day to process a withdrawal, after which normal bank processing times come into play, which could be anything from instantly to five days.
Well, this is a BetStorm review and not a Bet Storm review (or even a Bet Storm casino review). We understand that sometimes this site references itself as ‘Bet Storm’ but it is mainly the combined name ‘BetStorm’ that is used.
