If you’re here because you want to choose a cricket betting site quickly, our top 10 bookmakers are:
We’ve put on our pads, pulled tight our helmet strap and placed our box where it needs to be placed. Now it’s time to head to the crease and face the first ball as we run through our list of the best six cricket betting sites in the UK.
It might not come as a surprise to many that bet365 is top of the batting order for the leading online cricket betting site in the UK. This online bookie is, quite simply, the biggest in the UK, and more money is paid out by bet365 per annum than any other UK bookie. While its coverage of football is exemplary, cricket doesn’t trail far behind.
So, why do we recommend bet365 for cricket? In our opinion, it’s the innovative betting markets that really stand out. Click on a test match, for example, and you’ll see every type of market you could want. Want to bet on a wicket falling in the next innings? Yep, you can do that! Think the next batter in will score less than thirty? No problem. Need to wager on the top scorer in the next innings? You can do that, too!
In addition, at bet365 you can live stream selected Twenty20, ODI and Test matches (just not those involving England, unfortunately). How cool is that? We aren’t exaggerating when we say that bet365 tops the batting averages when it comes to cricket betting in the UK.

What Bowls Us Out First Ball:
There are very few sports with as many numbers as cricket. There are runs scored, wickets taken, boundaries breached, maiden overs bowled, batting averages, bowling averages… It’s a very extensive list. This is why cricket is perfect for spreads, and we have chosen SpreadEx as our best online betting site for cricket bettors who’d like to take that approach.
Spread betting is an excellent alternative to fixed odds betting as you are rewarded significantly for accuracy. The downside is that you are punished for inaccuracy too, but there are moves you can make to stop your losses before they become too devastating. SpreadEx offers a multitude of markets for cricket spread betting, from picking the winners, to how many runs you feel a single batsman is likely to score.
Don’t worry if spread betting is new to you – SpreadEx has plenty of resources available that will teach you all you need to know. They will also keep a close eye on your account to make sure you are not continually coming unstuck!

You might be surprised to see Paddy Power in our cricket betting sites list. After all, Paddy Power is an Irish site, and while the Irish love their horse racing, they are hardly famed for their love of cricket! Well, just as Ireland does has an international cricket team (just a not very good one), it also has cricket betting at Paddy Power.
Paddy Power is really hot on The Ashes, the ICC World Twenty20 Cup and all One Day Internationals. It also covers cricket competitions you have probably never even heard of, such as the March One-Day Cup (a limited overs competition in Australia) and even the American Premier League! Sadly, coverage of the UK’s County Championship is a little lacking.
Look out too for Paddy’s ‘Power Prices’ which are enhanced odds boosts on the top cricket-related prices of the day. These can really enhance your returns if you have faith in your bets, and your predictions are accurate!

What Bowls Us Out First Ball:
We don’t know what ‘traditional’ cricket fans would make of this ‘new-fangled’ cricket – 50 overs, 40 overs, Twenty20, The Hundred… What’s happened to matches that last for five days and can still end in a draw? We’re willing to bet that William Hill (founder of this bookie and born in 1903) would have held no truck with this limited over nonsense.
Thankfully, the 2024 version of William Hill doesn’t feel that limited overs cricket is nonsense at all! With this popular UK bookie, you get full coverage of all forms of cricket, no matter how many balls are bowled in an innings! William Hill is particularly hot on international cricket as you might expect, be it test cricket, ODIs or Twenty20s. It’s all-year coverage too, so when the County Championships are out of season, you’ll still find plenty to bet on in countries with sunnier climates!
While William Hill does have some live streaming, we couldn’t find any live streaming of cricket, which is a shame. Look out for enhanced odds offers, which often are available for the top cricket match-ups.

In our experience, people who bet on a sport don’t just bet on a single sport. Many football lovers are cricket lovers too, and people who bet on cricket are likely to bet on horse racing. This is one of the reasons we have picked out QuinnBet as another excellent site at which to place your cricket bets.
We’d like to say that coverage of cricket at QuinnBet is as good as the site’s coverage of horse racing, but we can’t. What we can say is that while betting on horse racing takes predominance here, the available cricket betting options are plentiful. All international cricket is covered, and there are numerous live cricket betting options. As well as match winners, you can bet (over/under) on how many runs any batsman is likely to score, the method of dismissal, and much, much more.
QuinnBet does offer a few promotions but when we looked over this site, we didn’t find any specific promotions for cricket. Also, the site does not live stream any cricket matches.

10bet is a true international site. This online bookmaker is operated by Blue Star Planet, a company that is registered in Malta. The site has a UKGC licence but it operates globally via other international licences. Because of this, 10bet recognises that cricket is truly an international game. Coverage of all the top international tournaments is exceptional here and includes the Indian Premier League.
If you head straight to the cricket section at 10bet, you can choose to filter by games that are currently in play, games that will take place on that day, or games that will take place in the next 48 hours, or seven days. This is a very useful feature. The filtering can extend to competitions too, making 10bet a very decent choice for any cricket betting fan.
For genuine, shall we say ‘trainspotting’ style cricket fans, 10bet does the business, with coverage reaching as far as the New Zealand Super Smash and the American Premier League! 10bet is not without criticism though, as it could do with more bonuses, for cricket or otherwise.

What do we look for when considering the best betting sites for cricket? The same as you! Although we think our choices are aligned with yours, here is what we specifically pick out when evaluating sites for cricket betting in the UK. Let’s see if you agree with us!
We love our cricket in the UK, but not always as much as we love our football. This means that cricket betting markets are much less prominent than their football betting equivalents, but that doesn’t mean they should be neglected entirely. We champion sites that have a full range of UK cricket betting options at national and international levels, as well as extensive non-UK cricket betting coverage.
It’s a sad fact that you’re more likely to bowl Joe Root out for a duck than find any online cricket betting site bonuses. Here we are talking about bonuses that are specifically for cricket. Even so, we always scour sites for cricket bet bonus deals, and we also check to make sure that any existing bonuses can be used on the game.
The odds for any bet on cricket you may place determine the returns you get from your successful wagers. No matter how much of a cricket betting expert you think you are, you will only get decent returns when you bet at decent prices! When we check out top cricket betting sites we make sure that the odds they offer for cricket markets are nicely competitive.
Live cricket betting sites (which means pretty much all of them) may also offer live cricket streaming. This means you will be able to watch cricket matches that you’ve bet on. Unfortunately, live cricket streaming is something of a rarity, and all major cricket competitions including the Indian Premier League are unavailable for live streaming due to their broadcasting deals with major media outlets.
The majority of our modern internet use is achieved via phones and tablets as opposed to PCs and laptops. This is why we champion any online betting site for cricket that offers an excellent mobile-optimised cricket site for mobile devices. Even better, there are specialised cricket betting apps that can be downloaded and installed on iOS and Android-powered devices.
The main focus of punters who bet on cricket is picking the winners of matches, but there is a lot more to bet on when it comes to cricket betting. Here are the main markets you might want to consider when you come to place a cricket bet.
The most obvious cricket bet of all – choose who is going to be celebrating the win once every ball has been bowled! Will it be England or Australia, India or Pakistan, New Zealand or the West Indies?
Select the player who will end up scoring the most runs. This could be the most runs overall, for a specific side, for a specific innings, or over a certain number of balls or overs. Make your choice and hope your selection repeatedly finds the boundaries.
Estimate how many runs a team is going to score. This prediction could be for the overall match or specific innings and is usually made on an over/under basis. For example, if you bet ‘over 209.5’ you are betting that the team you back will score 210 runs or more.
Practically the same as above, but for a named player. This could also be for the match overall, or for a specific innings. And, again, the bet is usually placed on an over/under basis.
Bet on the number of runs that will be scored in the indicated over. This is usually a bet made in tandem with live cricket betting.
Here you have to bet on how you think the first wicket will fall in a match or a specific innings. It could be caught, bowled, LBW, run out, stumped, and so on. But think again about going for ‘timed out’, as this has happened just six times in history!
As in football, you can place a cricket bet that takes the draw possibility out of the equation. You choose one of the competitive sides as the match winner, and if the match ends in a draw your stake is returned.
Another popular cricket wager is betting on the number of runs that will be scored off the first delivery of a match/innings/over. This again is usually done on an under/over basis, at 3.5. That means you’re essentially betting on whether a boundary will be hit or not.
Two batsmen are always at the crease during play, and another popular cricket bet is choosing which of the two will be out first. This is another bet that’s only really available at live cricket betting sites.
These are just some of the options available when betting on cricket. Be sure to explore our betting site recommendations to see the full range of cricket betting markets that they offer.
Want to win cricket bets? Of course you do! Unfortunately, we cannot give you any ‘100% guaranteed’ winning tips when it comes to cricket betting, as such things do not exist. We can however, give you five tips that you should find useful when you are honing your cricket betting strategy.
You are sadly going to find it hard to uncover cricket-specific bonuses, as bookmakers in the UK rarely offer them. However, we have picked out three top betting site promotions that you can claim when you sign up for an account at the bookie that offers them.
Sign up for an account at bet365 and you can get £30 in free bets as your reward. Just place a £10 bet using your own cash (deposit using a debit card) within 30 days of registering at bet365 and you’ll be awarded £30 in free bets. Your qualifying bet must have odds of at least 1/5 (1.20) as must your free bet. Note that free bet stakes are not returned – only winnings.
This offer is for the fixed odds betting side of SpreadEx. Sign up then place a minimum bet of £10 at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or greater. When it settles, you’ll receive a £10 fixed odds free bet, a £5 free total goals spread bet, a £5 racing Winning Favourites spread bet and a £1 Race Index spread bet. You’ll get the same again 24 hours later. Check the site for the T&Cs relating to this offer.
With this new customer deal, deposit £10 using a debit card then place a £10 bet using the promo code YSKAMX. Note that you must place this bet within 90 days of joining Paddy Power. If this bet wins, you can lean back in your chair and celebrate. However, if the bet lets you down, your stake money will be refunded as cash. This means you can use the money again to place another bet, or withdraw it and spend it elsewhere!
Odds dictate winnings. It’s as simple as that. No matter how accurate your predictions are, if you are betting with poor odds, you will not get decent returns. Happily, all the sites on our top cricket bookmakers list offer decent odds – among the best in the business. For example, here are the odds available for England to win the T20 World Cup 2024 (as of 13:00 GMT, 01/07/24):
The cricket calendar runs all year round, as it’s always summer somewhere! Here is our quick guide to the biggest events that you’ll want to use at least some of your cricket betting bankroll on.

Let’s now look a little closer at each of these tournaments in turn:
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup (to give the tournament its full title) is the world’s premier Twenty20 international competition. First played in South Africa in 2007, the tournament has been played roughly every two years, taking a break between 2016 and 2021. England and the West Indies are the most successful competitors, each winning the tournament twice.
The Ashes is the oldest international cricket competition in existence, having first been played in 1882. It is held approximately every two years and is a five-match test cricket series between England and Australia. It is so named because of the trophy. This is a tiny urn containing the ashes of a stump burned by Australia in 1882 to mark the ‘death of English cricket’. Australia have won the series 34 times and England 32.
The ICC World Cup is the world’s oldest International limited overs cricket competition. First held in England in 1975, the tournament has been held every four years since, with a one-year delay added in 1991. Australia have won a record 6 of the 13 tournaments played so far. The format is a single innings each side, 50 overs.
Created in 2008, the Indian Premier League or IPL for short is an annual Twenty20 competition that attracts players (and fans!) from all over the world. A franchise-based league, 10 sides play 14 matches each with the top four qualifying for the playoffs. The IPL has been won a record 5 times by the Chennai Super Kings.
The UK’s leading traditional cricket competition, the County Championship was first contested in 1890. Now comprising 18 county teams split into 2 divisions, the tournament runs each summer in England and Wales with each side playing 14 x 4-day games. The most successful county in the County Championship is Yorkshire with 32 wins and 1 shared.
The One-Day Cup is the latest name for the annual limited overs competition between county teams in England and Wales. First run in 2014, it replaced the ECB 40 (2010-2013) which itself replaced the Pro40 (1999-2012), although one-day cricket in the UK began in 1969 with the introduction of the Sunday League. Teams compete in a two-group league competition with the top three from each qualifying for the playoffs.
This Twenty20 tournament runs in the UK and was created in 2003 to replace the Benson & Hedges Cup as the top knock-out competition. County teams are split into 2 geographical groups, with each side playing 14 games and the top 4 from each division progressing to the playoffs. Uniquely, the semi-finals and final are played on the same day, at the same location.
Brand new in 2021, The Hundred is a franchise-based cricket tournament in the UK featuring both the men’s and women’s games. In a match, each team has a single innings of a maximum of 100 balls. Bowlers can bowl up to 20 deliveries each in sets of 5. The Hundred (men’s) has been won so far by the Oval Invincibles (2021, South London), the Southern Brave (2022, Southampton) and the Trent Rockets (2023, Nottingham). Each edition of the women’s version has been won by the Oval Invincibles.
The Asia Cup was first contested in 1984 and was won by India. It has been run every two years since with breaks in 1993 and between 1998 and 2007. All members of the Asian Cricket Council are eligible to compete, which are (as of 2024) India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. A single associate member is allowed to compete too, which in 2023 was Nepal. India, with eight titles, have won the competition the most times.
Running since 1998, this competition has been run almost every four years, taking a break in 2021 due to COVID. This is a one-day international cricket competition for first-class national sides and is held to raise funds for the development of the sport in non-test playing countries. The 2024 ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, with Pakistan (hosts) and the top seven teams from the 2023 ICC World Cup all taking part.
By now you should have a really good idea about which are the best cricket betting sites in the UK. We outlined our top sites where you can bet on cricket, the markets available for your cricket bets, and which competitions are the biggest for you to consider when contemplating placing your cricketing wagers.
We hope you don’t get bowled out for a duck with your cricket betting, and that you’ll be hitting the bookies into the stands time and time again!

You can call us silly mid-offs all you want, but to our mind, bet365 is the best site for betting on cricket in the UK. We like the multitude of options, the varied markets and the clean and clear interface.
That depends on how important betting on cricket is to you. If you are just a casual cricket fan, then betting on the match winner is probably the best cricket betting option. If you live and breathe cricket, then investigating deeper markets (see our guide above) is something you should explore.
Most sites are IPL cricket betting sites, as coverage of the world’s best-paid Twenty20 competition is globally extensive. If you want to consider IPL spread betting, then check out SpreadEx. Be careful with spread betting at first and keep your stakes to modest levels.
Again, nearly all UK bookies that offer cricket betting are live cricket betting sites. A very select few may also have live cricket streaming. If you are into live county cricket betting, for example, then you could have a go at increasing your bankroll by betting on in-play events.
We aim to attract as many sports bettors to our site as possible, and we think the best way of doing that is by becoming a trusted and authoritative source of cricket betting online information. We want to become your best resource for cricket betting info so that you’ll visit us time and time again, and we can only do that by being honest, trustworthy and genuinely useful!
