As BetMGM as so new to the UK, they have yet really to touch upon any major sponsorship deals, although in 2024 they were announced as the new sponsors of PDC Premier League Darts. Back in the USA the MGM bet site has deals with a large number of top US sports teams, including the Detroit Lions (NFL), the Detroit Red Wings (NHL), Washington Nationals (MLB) and the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA).

Safety and Security at BetMGM

As the BetMGM UK site has only been open a year or so, it hasn’t yet had much of a chance to establish a reputation – good or bad – for itself. However, the record of the LeoVegas team behind Bet MGM UK is almost exemplary. They got a slight slap in 2022 for breaching the prevention of money laundering rules, but that was after eight years of a completely blemish-free record. We don’t think you have to worry about BetMGM treating you unfairly.

All the necessary protocols are in place at BetMGM to keep your sensitive data safe, and again this is not something you have to worry about. They are the same protocols as used by online banks. Any info you send to BetMGM is suitably encrypted, as is any data you receive from them.

The main markets for which live betting is offered at the BetMGM UK site are football, tennis, basketball, rugby league, rugby union, eSports, golf and table tennis, but if you know of any event currently happening anywhere in the world, then there’s a good chance it will be available for in-play betting.

When you are watching the live betting section at BetMGM you will appreciate how responsive it is with prices and markets reacting to the latest state of play. For all markets, the odds for ‘1X2’ are up front and central, with a single other pertinent market on display too, plus details of the other markets available. We were certainly impressed with the BetMGM in play betting section while putting together this BetMGM review as it is one of the most responsive we have ever seen.

BetMGM Live Streaming and Commentary

There’s a very good amount of live streaming available at his sports betting site. For a kick off, all UK and Irish horse races are available for live streaming and you just have to have a BetMGM account to watch them. A handy tip here is to flick the ‘Stream Only’ selector on the betting page so you can see which events are available to be live-streamed at BetMGM.

In terms of football there is zero streaming of UK football as you might expect, but you will be able to stream football matches from the Bundesliga in Germany and Australia’s A-League among others. Also available are tennis matches on the UTR and ITF tours, plus basketball matches from the Euroleague and the PBA (Philippines). Streaming is also available for cricket, table tennis and others.

BetMGM Betting Odds

Kambi/Leo Vegas sets the odds at BetMGM, not BetMGM themselves. You can check the odds yourself, but we have always found the odds at any of LeoVegas’s sites to be nicely competitive. If you place your bets here, you won’t have to worry about getting decent odds, and there’s no need really to venture to other sites to get odds that will get you better returns.

Sadly, we can find no evidence that BetMGM offers ‘best odds guaranteed’ for either horse racing or greyhounds, so when you place a horse racing or greyhounds bet at this site, you will get returns for winning bets based on the odds at which you placed your bet.

BetMGM Betting Limits

Our BetMGM UK review found there is no minimum betting limit at BetMGM as the site will accept bets that are as low as one pence. There is no maximum betting limit either, but you need to take into account the site’s maximum payout limits. These are a little tough to find, but after a long, long … long search, find them we didn’t! We contacted support who told us the maximum winnings are only displayed if the stake you set and the odds generate winnings higher than the max! That we liked, not.

There’s a lot of gold around the look and feel of the BetMGM site and for once, it’s well deserved. This US-based brand has not simply been launched onto the UK betting populace without any consideration … it has multiple markets, great bonuses and promotions, some neat features, a tasty casino and excellent apps, what more could you possibly want, aside from there not being a picture of Chris Rock on every single page?
