About the Betfred Derby 2025
The Epson Derby has been a highlight of the flat horse racing season for more than 240 years. It was first run in May 1780 and was initially named after the Epsom Downs Racecourse, where it continues to be held, and the Earl of Derby, who was one of its sponsors.
Today, the race is sponsored by the popular British bookmaker Betfred. Your bet will win if your two horses pass the post in the order you predicted.
